Lombardi’s Italian Restaurant was one of the best dining experiences we had in Ocean City! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and family-oriented. The beautiful photos throughout the restaurant added so much character and made the space feel inviting.
We enjoyed the lasagna, pizza, wine, and handcrafted mixed drinks, and every bite was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite touches was watching the fresh cheese being hand-grated right at our table—it made the meal feel extra special and authentic.
The owner personally took the time to walk us around, share recommendations, and make us feel right at home. That level of hospitality really stood out. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the restaurant was spotless, including the bathrooms.
Everything, from the food to the service and even the packaging for our leftovers, reflected attention to detail and pride in the customer experience.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian food, exceptional hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere in Ocean City, Lombardi’s is a must-visit. It’s the kind of place that turns a meal into a memorable experience, and I can’t wait to return!

Let me say the staff,speedy service, and ambiance were top notch. I mean this is a well oiled machine, we waited 15 minutes to get a seat and literally had our food in under 15 minutes, which was suspect Let's get down to the food, the main reason for being there in the first place. Daughter had gnocchi with tomato sauce, my wife and i split fettuccine in bolognese sauce, and we all split and took home a Large Supreme pizza. Our main intention was to get pizza, but splurged a little. The gnocchi was mushy and the sauce did not have much flavor. The fettuccine was overcooked( you can tell it was initially overcooked and then dunked in pasta bath to heat up or it was just dunked too long)and the bolognese sauce had zero flavor(like fatty ground beef, carrots, garlic, and onion just thrown together in a Stanislaus sauce). The bolognese i'm used to is many meats slow cooked for a deep meaty flavor.The pizza we got was cold, and since they use jarred veggies, there was a pool of fluid under crust causing sogginess. Im pretty sure they had a wrong order or an old supreme pizza waiting to be used up. We immediately sent the pizza back and got a fresh one, which was steaming hot. To our dismay though, all of the jarred veggies were all piled in the center of pizza, so dough was raw and crust on bottom soggy. The pizza flavor profile was excellent, just needs topped correctly and the veggies should be drained better.Honestly, the bread and butter that came with pasta was the best part of meal.
NOW, on the bright side, the leftover supreme pizza tasted AWESOME Cold out of fridge.
I would love to try just a plain cheese pizza at some point to possibly be a redeeming quality for this business.
I wouldn't mind waiting longer for food that is quality.
I just can't justify paying money for sloppy food, I really wanted to like this place,as the reviews are really promising. I will retry next year and see if it is better, may e it was the time and day of the week?

One of our favorites has certainly taken a downturn lately. This one may be the last straw. Ordered takeout this time instead of our usual dining in. Meatball sub was ok, but not toasted like ones served inside. Cheese wasn't even fully melted. Pasta with shrimp and extra-charge vodka sauce had no sauce whatsoever. Didn't realize until we got home 20 minutes away. Called to inform them and they acted annoyed that I would question it and said bring it back so they could see it. Offered to send a photo because I'm not spending second 40 minute round trip picking up dinner. They offered a refund to my card which never materialized. Didn't refund the sauce upcharge or add-on tip that I added to the bill at pickup. Not our typical experience there, but might be the last. Mistakes happen, but the dismissive attitude and follow-up (or lack thereof) was even worse. Too many places to eat around here to put up with experiences like this.
